Tours of Hope
"I had no idea!" is what we most often hear from those who take the Tour of Hope at St. Matthew's House.
In order to truly understand our mission, you are invited to take a Tour of Hope of our facilities. Led by St. Matthew's House President Vann Ellison, you will see firsthand the dorms, dining hall and living areas at St. Matthew's House. Hear about our structured recovery program, Old Firehouse feeding ministry and the stable environment that welcomes people fresh off the street and out of the woods. You'll also learn about our Direct Assistance/Food Pantry program designed to help those who have a home but are living at or below the poverty line. See the Memorial Garden, our ode to those residents who have gone to Heaven. Hear the stories of those who came through our doors homeless and most often, addicted, who were able to beat their problems, find employment and reenter society healthy once again.
We hope you'll stay for lunch. St. Matthew's House employs an Executive Chef who runs our commercial kitchen. The Tour of Hope includes a complimentary lunch in our dining hall, where you can ask questions and discuss the homeless situation in Naples and Collier County. Your suggestions and input are always welcome.
Tours of Hope are given the 2nd Tuesday and 4th Thursday of each month, starting at 11:30am, and take about an hour, which includes time for lunch. Please contact us or call 239-774-0500 if you would like to schedule a Tour. You never know, it could change your life.
