Our Programs
Thrift Stores

Our three St. Matthew's House Thrift Stores help us to be more self sufficient. Voted shopper's favorite year after year by the Naples Daily News, our Thrift Stores are packed with great quality furniture and household items. For a surprisingly unique shopping experience, stop at any of our locations.
Our Thrift store inventory is discounted to the general public and FREE to those who come to St. Matthew's House and Immokalee Friendship House for help and support. Clothing and furniture vouchers are given to residents and to our neighbors through our Direct Assistance program. In addition, our stores serve as a job training opportunity for our residents. They learn basic work skills and the specifics of working in the retail arena. Over $200,000 worth of goods are given out annually at our Thrift Stores via the voucher system to those in need.

The stores are staffed by some paid employees, but volunteers are what allow our stores to help as many as we do. Volunteers receive donations, sort, price and arrange merchandise, operate the cash register and work with us on all kinds of repairs and maintenance. Contact us if you'd like to volunteer at our Thrift Stores.
