Food Pantry & Direct Assistance
St. Matthew's House gives out bags of groceries to neighbors in need. Each one will feed a family of four for two days. We also offer the opportunity to apply for food stamps, Medicaid and temporary cash assistance via the ACCESS Florida terminal in our lobby. MORE
Old Firehouse Feeding Ministry
We prepare and serve an average of 200 meals per day to anyone who is hungry at the Old Firehouse, which is the original St. Matthew's House facility. This totals to over 140,000 meals each year. MORE
Wolfe Apartments
Since 2003, SMH has operated a 46-unit transitional housing facility, the Wolfe Apartments in the Golden Gate area of Naples, FL. MORE
Immokalee Friendship House
Incorporated in 1987, Immokalee Friendship House is a 44-bed homeless shelter, located in the farming community of Immokalee, FL. In 2008, the Friendship House merged with St. Matthew's House in order to increase services to those in need in Collier County. MORE
Commercial Enterprises
St. Matthew's House operates commercial enterprises to help support the function of our facilities, as we receive no federal or state aid. These include a catering business and two thrift stores.
SMH Catering
Our staff chef is a skilled professional who also leads our catering business, SMH Catering. MORE
Tours of Hope
The public is invited to tour the St. Matthew's House facilities and learn firsthand about our programs and mission. Includes complimentary lunch and takes an hour. Tours are given the 2nd Tuesday and 4th Thursday of each month. MORE
